National Leadership Training and Retreat Center Officially Dedicated

Last Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the 450-seat capacity church auditorium of the Leominster Church of Pentecost, representatives and members of the Church of Pentecost USA, Inc witnessed the official dedication of the Pentecost Leadership Training and Retreat Center (PLTRC) as the national training center for the church in the USA.

The dedication was officiated by the outgoing National Apostle, Apostle Albert Amoah and supported by Apostle Samson Yiadom, the national executive secretary, the New York Regional Head and the New England District Pastor, Rev. John Kwame Appiah. The national apostle introduced the membership of the National Leadership Training Board members present which included the National Head himself as Chairman, Rev. Augustus Asemnor of the New Jersey District, Deaconess Dr. (Mrs.) Dina Larbi Ampofo (RI), Elder Owusu-Sekyere (MD), and Elder Mac Obiri-Mainoo (MA). Elder Obiri-Mainoo was again introduced as the Training Administrator of the Center.
Also in attendance was Father Eghan of the Leominster Holy Family Cathedral, who sold the property to the Church of Pentecost USA, Inc and also offered prayers for the center.

The occasion was also used to appreciate the efforts and services of Elder Emmanuel Painstil and his wife and children for their contribution towards the procurement of the facility. Elder Painstil is now a member of the Leominster Assembly under the new presiding elder, Elder Koranteng Daarfour who had been transferred from the Worcester Central Assembly.

Last Monday, fourteen (14)ministers converged back at the National Leadership Training and Retreat Center (PLTRC)for the second round of the School of Theological Education by Extension (STEE) program. Also in residence were seven (7)new overseers called into the ministry of the Church of Pentecost USA, Inc.



The two groups of students are being handled by three visiting professors from Ghana's Pentecost University College (PUC) in the persons of Rev. Samuel Osei Asante, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Apea and Rev. Samuel K. Asante who was also here at STEE I. The outgoing national apostle, Rev. Albert Amoah was also in residence as a supporting lecturer, particularly for the new entrants.
