STEE 1 ENDS SUCCESSFULLY - READ PARTICIPANTS' IMPRESSION

The maiden edition of the School of Theological Education by Extension (STEE) under the auspices of the Pentecost University College (PUC) in Ghana ended successfully on Friday, March 27 2009.

In all there were fourteen (14) participants made up of one apostle, two area heads, five pastors and six overseers in attendance in addition to seven others made up of pastors and overseers for the Training of Trainers program. Of-course, there was also one elder, in the person of Elder Mac Obiri-Mainoo of the Worcester PIWC who participated in the Training of Trainers sessions also.

The National Head, Apostle Albert Amoah and two of the lecturers, Rev. Dr. Samuel Asante and Rev. Joshua Yirenkyi-Smart were still in residence to end this session with the participants.

STEE- WEEK 2 Ends Amidst a Special Happy Birthday

Week 2 of the STEE program ended last Friday with the departure of all the seven participants of the Training of Trainers Course back to their respective districts.

Also leaving for New York was Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Anim, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology at PUC and leader of the team of lecturers who is due to fly back to Ghana on Tuesday. The climax of the week's activities was a special birthday song sang on behalf of a special person. The whole program, which lasted for about five minutes was captured by our cameraman in the pictures below. Training of Trainers Program is from March 16-20

Participants of the training of trainers course have started arriving at the PLTRC in Leominster.
The program is due to start in full swing tomorrow, March 17, 2009.

This is Day 2 of the training and the eight participants, made up of seven pastors and one elder are having a really good time with the lecturers- Rev. Drs. Emmanuel Anim and Samuel Asante. Tomorrow Thursday would be with Rev. Joshua Yirenkyi Smart.

It is hoped that the training of trainers' program would be concluded on Friday by noon to enable the pastors to return to their states and districts.

Week 1 Ends With a Trip to Boston

The first week of the STEE program at the Leadership Training and Retreat Center ended with a section of the pastors in residence joining the three visiting lecturers from PUC and the Training Administrator to visit Boston, the administrative and commercial capital of the state of Massachusetts.

The trip, which started at about 11:30 am in Leominster was on Route 2 East to Cambridge, a suburb of Boston where the two prestigious universities of Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are located.

After about forty-five minutes at M.I.T, we drove to Harvard, where like M.I.T, we had the chance to take several pictures. On our way back, our driver, Deacon Francis Adjei of the Leominster Assembly drove by Beacon Hill, to give our guests the opportunity to have a glimpse of the building that houses the state government.

The accompanying pictures above are some of the shots taken on the way to and from Boston. We are thankful to Deacon Francis for abandoning his program for the day for our cause!

STEE Finally Takes Off !

Last Sunday evening at the 450-seat Leominster Church of Pentecost auditorium, the much-publicized STEE program took off under the auspices of the National Head of the Church in the USA, Apostle Albert Amoah.

Present were Apostle Sampson Ofori-Yiadom, the Western Regional Area Head and Rev. Samuel Kwesi Arthur of the New York Region, both of them participants in the program, Elder Robert Nyarko, a national executive member, and the three guest lecturers from the Pentecost University College in Ghana. They are the Rev Dr. Emmanuel Anim, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and leader of the team, Rev. Dr. Samuel Asante and Rev. Joshua Yirenkyi Smart, Dean of Students. Several of the pastors enrolling in the maiden edition of the STEE in the U.S. were also present.

Some faithful members from the Worcester Central, PIWC and Leominster Assemblies were there, as usual to grace the occasion.
